Friends and followers, it’s been a minute.
Our brief hiatus over the summer turned out to be much more lengthy than we anticipated. It’s a long and boring story, but - to sum it up - life and circumstances intervened. Thanks for sticking with us!

We’re still working on longer, more in-depth articles, like we have in the past, but those are beasts and they take a lot of time. In order to get more content to you more often, we’re aiming to put out shorter pieces too, more frequently. There’s no shortage of corruption to write about around here - our only limitation is finding enough time.
I also wanted to mention Twitter, because many of you connected with us initially there. You might have noticed, we’re gone. Suspended yet again. To be honest, that was my fifth Twitter account, and Morgan burned through three of her own in the last few years. The last four times it happened to me, I had enough spite to start again. But each time is a hit - we lose a lot of content because Twitter locks our archives, makes DMs unavailable, and generally ensures all our old content dies with the account. Given that Twitter is croaking and choking, we decided we can’t invest any more time in Elon’s hellhole.
We never really know why we get the hook on Twitter, but it tends to happen when specific topics get too hot. This time, I suspect we were targeted for “Operation STFU” because we linked the IDU and Facebook again, in light of Facebook’s decision to block Canadian users talking about the Indian government’s alleged killing of a Canadian, in Canada.
As we explained over there, IDU and Facebook are long-time besties. Social platforms in Canada have been run by ex-Harper staffers for years. Modi and party are, of course, members of IDU. (If you’re not familiar with the IDU or Harper’s role in it, we wrote a primer earlier in the year.)
So, to recap, we’re back. Except for Twitter, where we’re not. 😆 If you’ve decamped to other apps you can find us on Bluesky at @jordanroberts.bsky.social and on Mastodon at @JordanRoberts@mstdn.ca
Coming for you next week - an updated look at our favourite topic, Loblaws takeover of primary care. If you’ve read our earlier article about Galen’s quest to own your healthcare, you’ll be familiar with Maple’s chief doctor and CEO, Dr. Brent Belchetz.
In recent weeks we’ve been sharing information about Dr. Belchetz’s other role, as medical advisor for Dying With Dignity, Canada’s extraordinarily successful astroturf, driving MAiD policy and practice across the country. Needless to say, it’s troubling. More to come next week.
Thanks again, friends and followers, for your patience and your interest.
Sincerely, Jordan and Morgan

We still exist!
After a longer hiatus than we planned, we're back.
